Old Pogue Master's Select
91 proof

Old Pogue's history is almost as long
as the history of American bourbon
itself.  The original Pogue distillery
was built in 1869, making it only
the 3rd registered distillery in
Kentucky at the time.  This
continued for half a century or so
before our arch-nemesis,
Prohibition, forced the distillery to
shut down.  Now, the fourth and
fifth generation of Pogue family
members are back on the whiskey
scene with their family's original
recipe.  Old Pogue is the color of a
rich mahogany (much like the smell
in Ron Burgundy's apartment), and
the sweetness of the corn in the
mash is very prevalent up front,
giving way to a nice rye spiciness
right behind it.  More please!
